The Child Watch area is
available for children age 6 weeks to 11 years old. Parents must remain
in the YMCA facility.
|

Hours: Monday –
Friday 9 a.m.–Noon

- Thurs. 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

|
Diaper Changing:
We do not change diapers. If a child needs to be changed or
needs to use the restroom, we will come and get you from your
YMCA activity. Please come for your child immediately.

Fee: $1.00 /per family, per hour (members)

No partial hour payments

|
Five
Minute Cry Limit: If your child has been crying
for five minutes, we will come and get you from your
YMCA activity. Please come for your child immediately
upon request.

Personal
Toys and Games: We encourage parents to bring
games, videos, and/or project ideas. Please mark all
items with your child's name
|
|
Sickness:
We cannot allow children with illnesses into the Child
Watch area. We ask that you use common sense and not
bring your children when they could infect other
children.
|
|
Two
(2) Hour Limit: Children may stay in the Child
Watch area for a maximum of two hours. Parents must
remain in the facility working out or participating in
an onsite program.
|
|
Ten
Children Limit: We can accommodate 10 children in
the Child Watch area at one time.
|
|
Please
respect our guidelines by not bringing food or drink
into the Child Watch area.

Gymnastics Class Descriptions
|
| Preschool |
(ages
4 to pre K)-*Must be 4 yrs old by January 2, 2012

Children
will learn group play, taking turns, and following
directions while receiving the benefits of exercise.
Gymnast will improve their strength, balance,
self-esteem, and control while learning basic skills
on all four apparatuses-floor, beam, bars, and vault.

Children
will learn the fundamentals of gymnastics on all four
apparatuses-beam, bars, floor, and vault. This is a
beginner level class.

2 |
(Instructor
placed, returning students) |

Gymnasts
will learn more difficult skills, building on what was
learned in Level 1.

| Level
3 |
(instructor
placed, non-competitive) |
| |
This is a
transition class from Level 2 to Team. It is also an
option for those not wishing to do competitive
gymnastics but still practice their gymnastics skills.

Our Team
competes in the Heart of Missouri Gymnastics League, a
recreational league with competitions monthly November
through June. Team is by invitation only. Team meets
twice a week. |

Birthday Parties |
The
YMCA offers gymnastics-themed birthday parties.
Parties should be scheduled at least two weeks in
advance and a deposit is required. Parties are held on
Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Contact the gymnastics
staff or the front desk for more information. |
