Strength Training Equipment at YMCA: The YMCA has an updated strength training circuit.  The weight machines provide both physiological and psychological advantages.  Physiologically, they offer improved movement mechanics and maintain a more constant resistance to the complete range of movement of the joints and muscles.  Psychologically, performing these new movement patterns is motivating to those who have become bored with older machines.  A number of the machines also target a larger variety of the major muscle groups, to include: the chest, back, shoulders and arms.  Our staff will be happy to help you with any questions concerning the basic fundamental principles of operating the machines.

Indoor Walking Track: The indoor walking track is a favorite among YMCA members.  Walking the track is a great way for adults and youth to enjoy exercise.  You can also view all the activity taking place below the track in the gymnasium and gymnastics area.  Members age 12 and over may walk the track.  Responsible children age 6 to 11 may walk on the track with a responsible adult.  Sorry, no skateboards, roller skates, roller blades or baby stroller are allowed on the track.  Only 12 and 1/2 laps equal one mile.  So come on out to the YMCA indoor walking track, in the summer we’re cool and in the winter we’re warm.  Walking indoors means there is no need to worry about straying dogs or straying cars or rain or darkness.  Come join the fun at the YMCA!

Youth Fitness Policy: For safety reasons, youth under the age of 12 may not use the Fitness Center equipment. Youth ages 12-14 may use the Fitness Center after attending an orientation class and must be supervised by an adult (age 18 or over) or one of our fitness instructors..
